The Call for Ideas/Venues sub-committee raises awareness of High Speed Rail and rail in Los Angeles by allowing the public to share ideas and interact with each other. The committee’s main focus this summer has been creating, promoting, and organizing the Call for Ideas, a month long exhibit of submitted ideas and information. The Call for Ideas/Venues sub-committee has a number of key responsibilities this summer:
- Organizing the data generated by the Call for ideas
- Coordinate the design, construction, and execution of the initial exhibition launch on July 29, 2010
- Integrate the Community Design Charette Model into the exhibit
- Create a deployable exhibit system that can be sent to volunteering venues as an instant exhibit
The committee has already received many submissions from the general public as well as MVRDV, Eric Owen Moss Architects, Foster and Partners, and Pasadena City College. Now it needs volunteers to format these submissions and help spread the word in their neighborhoods.
