Only one team from the group could be crowned a winner and the crown for this challenge went to team Impending Games. Impending Games creatively interpreted high speed rail and Los Angeles without traffic through their game, 8:59 AM. However, if you are in a wheelchair and can't travel down a sidewalk to reach the bus or take the train because of the condition of the sidewalks or obstacles in your path then you are effectively cut off. Improving sidewalks is part of improving communities and access to public transportation and the high-speed rail lines of the future in California. Part of advocating for effective and efficient public transportation systems is advocating for those with disabilities to be empowered to move about the city. railLA supports those who are filing civil-rights lawsuits against the city to focus attention on these issues, and we look forward to seeing our communities change as a result of this legal action. It's all about dressing up in fashionable clothes and riding the rails to interesting places around the city. Those who ‘dress dapper’ will be invited to attend art shows, tours, and free events along the rail lines in LA. All that is required is a ticket to ride the rails and you - dressed up in your dapper attire of choice.
